The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that singer Maxine Linehan will host an all-star cast performing an ALL-U2 concert. What better way to kick-off St. Patrick's Day than an ALL U2 Concert? Come to Birdland on the eve of St. Patrick's Day, to hear the music by the group Rolling Stone dubbed "the biggest band in the world." This internationally famous Irish band is one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide. U2 has won 22 Grammy Awards, more than any other band; and, in 2005, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. The music of U2 will be performed by New York's most celebrated Broadway and Nightclub Stars, including Bob Stillman (It’s Only A Play)and Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera). The concert will be hosted by Irish-born Maxine Linehan, whom Stephen Holden of the New York Times described as a “fiercely talented and self-assured theatrical singer." This benefit concert for Broadway Cares/EquityFights AIDS is produced by Scott Siegel & Maxine Linehan.
